Following a stringent pre-qualification process and a successful tender submission, Connell Brothers Ltd has been selected and reappointed on the Salford City Council Framework covering demolition works across Greater Manchester for the coming four years.
The framework agreement is open to AGMA authorities covering demolition works across Greater Manchester.

Connell Brothers have been featured in the latest issue of Demolition and Dismantling magazine.
The magazine provides all the details of the NFDC AGM & AWARDS for 2022, where Connell Brothers Ltd was awarded the prestigious 2022 National NFDC Health & Safety Award.
The CBL team collected the award at The Landmark Hotel in London in March, from the National Federation of Demolition Contractors. The awards ceremony recognises and celebrates the very best in the UK demolition industry.

Connell Brothers Ltd has recently donated to Barnabus Homeless Charity’s Van Appeal. Their trusty ’04 registration van was on its last wheels and so a new one was desperately needed.
Connell Brothers team are pleased to announce that on 6th September Barnabus had successfully raised £29,000 through 114 supporters in just over 2 months……great news!
Barnabus said;
“Our van is crucial to our work: it helps our friends make the move into their own homes, and works as a delivery van to bring food to friends who are housed but in need of food. It collects your kind donations which then enables us to have clothes and food ready for our friends when they visit. Our van also delivered over 40,000 meals to hotels where rough sleepers were housed during the first Covid19 lockdowns. Our van has helped us do our work in a hundred different ways thousands of times and is at the centre of what we do.
We couldn’t have done this without your overwhelming support. Thank you so much for your amazing generosity.”

Connell Brothers Ltd has recently sponsored a charity golf day at The Worsley Park Marriott Hotel and Country Club.
The golf day was held on 22nd July to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK, with Connell Brothers pleased to sponsor the event as part of their continued support for local charity events.
The event commenced with a bacon roll and coffee, followed by a shotgun start to get the golfers on their way.
The Prostate Cancer Charity was founded in 1996 by Professor Jonathan Waxman to address the ‘Outrageous and arbitrary surgical treatment of men’. The charity was the first national organisation for prostate cancer in the UK. Their aim was to improve the care and welfare of those affected by prostate cancer, increase investment in research, and raise public and political awareness of a long-neglected disease.

Connell Brothers Ltd has recently been accredited as a Living Wage Employer.
Connell Brothers Ltd is based in the North West, a region with nearly a fifth of all jobs (18.4%) paying less than the real Living Wage – around 534,000 jobs. Despite this, CBL has committed to pay the real Living Wage and deliver a fair day’s pay for a hard day’s work.
Katherine Chapman, Director, Living Wage Foundation said: “We’re delighted that Connell Brothers Ltd has joined the movement of almost 9,000 responsible employers across the UK who voluntarily commit to go further than the government minimum to make sure all their staff earn enough to live on."

Connell Brothers Ltd recently donated Stage Equipment taken from St George’s High School in Walkden. The equipment was recovered from the school, that was earmarked for demolition and was given to Apeel Drama Group to use at their Community Hall just down the road.
Geoff Millard, Chairman of St. Paul’s Peel Community Hall visited the site, and identified curtain track, a lighting bar and curtains that could be salvaged for further use. The Connell Brothers team were happy to dismantle and deliver the equipment to the Apeel Drama Group.
Geoff Millard provided feedback on the donation saying,
“Not only did Connell Brothers dismantle everything but transported it to our Hall and two members of staff doing this went above and beyond to help us safely store it away.
I cannot really express what this has meant to us. We are a small community group bringing live theatre to Little Hulton and having extra equipment of this importance means we can raise our game significantly.
The fact that a company such as Connell Brothers can extend such kindness and take the trouble to support us proves that community concerns must be a corner stone of your business philosophy.”
