Connell Brothers Ltd was pleased to support JustHelping Charity with their Christmas Tree Recycling Event.

On 11th January, Connell Brothers donated a van and a couple of members of the team to collect Christmas trees from St Ann’s Hospice and Francis House Children’s Hospice in Manchester. All trees were collected and taken to Wythenshawe Park, Wardley Hall, and Boggart Hole Clough where the trees were chipped to be used on woodland paths and flower beds.

JustHelping is a Manchester-based charity that strives to promote community engagement through volunteering opportunities. The Manchester Collection, in aid of St Ann’s Hospice and Francis House Children’s Hospice, provides residents of Greater Manchester with an easy and convenient way to make a donation to their local community.

The whole operation collected over 5,000 trees, raising over £100,000 for Francis House, St Anne’s Hospice, and other charities.

The collection engages thousands of people to donate to good causes while providing a valuable community service. In January 2023 more than 2800 volunteers in 54 locations worked with Just Helping to collect and recycle 61,700 trees and raised £940,663 for local charities, charities and community projects.
