The transformation of Eccles Town Centre is officially in full swing. As part of Salford City Council’s ambitious regeneration plans, Connell Brothers is making significant progress on the first phase of demolition, focusing on the removal of the outdated multi-storey car park.
This work is a critical milestone in the council’s “This is Our Salford” Corporate Plan (2024-2028). By clearing these structures, we are preparing the “blank canvas” required for Muse to bring a modern, vibrant, and fit-for-purpose town centre to life.

Strategic Removal: Demolition is concentrated on the northern section of the shopping centre, the Market Hall, and the multi-storey car park—areas identified by residents as no longer meeting the town’s needs.
Safety & Precision: As a Salford-based contractor, we are utilizing specialized equipment to dismantle the car park structure safely while ensuring minimal disruption to the surrounding Church Street businesses, which remain open for business.
Sustainability: Following our commitment to green practices, materials from the demolition are being processed for recovery and recycling wherever possible.
