CBL have recently reached completion on the Asbestos Removal and Demolition works package at Ivy Road in Macclesfield. Peaks and Plains Housing Trust employed Connell Brother’s to demolish a 31 unit block and 16 bungalows, readying for the development of 29 homes that will be available through a mix of shared ownership and affordable rent.
The site presented numerous challenges from the adjacent live primary school, close proximity of residential houses and public walkways dividing the site that had to remain open throughout the works, including live services that had to be retained across the site
Peaks and Plains Housing Trust recognised the challenges the site presented and praised the CBL team for their high standards of works and diligence towards the Health & Safety of their operatives and the general public. The Trust was also impressed with Connell Brothers levels of communication with all parties and the local residents.
This project joins a long list of projects that Connell Brothers Ltd have carried out for Housing Associations across the UK.
