Connell Brothers Ltd has recently sponsored a charity golf day at The Worsley Park Marriott Hotel and Country Club.

The golf day was held on 22nd July to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK, with Connell Brothers please to sponsor the event as part of their continued support for local charity events.

The event commenced with a bacon roll and coffee, followed by a shotgun start to get the golfers on their way.

The Prostate Cancer Charity was founded in 1996 by Professor Jonathan Waxman to address the ‘Outrageous and arbitrary surgical treatment of men’.The charity was the first national organisation for prostate cancer in the UK. Their aim was to improve the care and welfare of those affected by prostate cancer, increase investment in research, and raise public and political awareness of a long-neglected disease.
